Sorry about the late update to the donations. I just went full time at work and learning 2 new areas of work ... left me a bit thin. Im actually still stuck at work and taking a mini break ...

We had a very large donation at the beginning of this month so we are already good for donations for the end of the month... and we need very little to have next months. So big thanks to that donater.

The ads/clicking did really well in Sept. We manager to rake up a total of 47.44 by the end of Sept. Which is a good 16.00 from when I last posted. However this month we have made a huge drop ... less than 45 clicks for October total and a few days there were no clicks at all. None. So we have made 1.17 for the month of Oct so far. Less than 3 cents a click.

Please remember the more clicking, the more money we get per click. We need to try and average 30 or more clicks a day.

Okay, I have recently come to the understanding that we have 2 types of ads: The kind with links to Buy this, Join here, Order this, ect. These are the ads we get money for clicking on. When we don't have ads for certain time slots we get 'Public Service Announcements' instead. We don't get paid for clicking on those. It does however count towards our click activity, which does lead to more paying ads. So yes, please keep clicking. Click a lot on the paying ads tho.

Clicking has taken a major nose dive this week. You all as users wanted to do this so I would stop asking for donations. This means if your not donating you need to be clicking. I hate it. But that's what it takes. We were averaging 30+ clicks a day at first. This week has been 10 or less and its showing.


09/12/08 - EDIT:
YouTube was removed. No one was clicking. Not creating any revenue. Also I agree with NightLo ... it was kinda tacky and didnt fit with the site.

Some more info on clicking ... a pattern is emerging. It seems when we have 30-40 clicks in a day we get the more profitable ads and thus make $3-$5 in a day. Days we have less than 15 clicks a day we barely break 20-40 cents. So keep that in mind when your clicking!!!!

Keep Clicking! Looks like the clicking went down a little this weekend ... Also the amount per click seems to have gone down but it seems from Google thats normal.

Anyways we have:

$19.48 in ad money.
$56.00 in donations.

I dont get any of the ad money until the account reaches $100 and its only transferred at the end of the month. I think it would be best to save the ad money until we can afford 6 months or a year in advance and use donations to pay for the monthly cost until then. Mainly since I have to waste until its $100 before I get anything anyways.

When do I get paid?

So I added the ads. They require clicking to make money. Not enough clicking or donating means the site goes down.

Looks like we get $0.10 a click ... we've had 20 clicks and made 2.11

Looking at the info the rate may go up based on page impressions which I gather is higher traffic and more clicks links back to this site being the referrer ... so more click from more users equals more money .... I think there is some filtering for same user clicking repeatedly ... Honestly I'm new to the ad stuff here.

I will add the ad funds to our donation amount every few weeks ...

I try and keep the donation status updated fairly frequently. The monthy payment for the site is automatically taken from the paypal account now. If we want to save for a year at a time, we have to donate above and beyond the monthly cost.

As for younger members without credit cards, I have offered to email my address to those ppl who ask in the past. When I did this I did not get one single donation from the people I gave my address out to. I would prefer not to give my address out for no reason.

We have over 35,000 members. I am sure quite a few of those are old enought to have credit or debit cards for online donations. Considering the number of members and authors this site has, it should not be near as difficult as it is to get donations. Honestly the longer this goes the more convinced I am to just close the site.

I am leaving it up to you all as members and users of the site to determine the future of the site.

When I went to download the update I read the forums and found there were some sites especially large ones like this one had some problems with the update. I am going to use the back ups and try updating on a test site first. ... I should have really done this first ... but I had a brain fart ... anyways ....

Well I can't shake this cold flu thing ... so I still haven't done the site update. The weekend of May 24th I have an extended weekend and I plan to do it then.

I apologize to everyone for the constant putting off of the update. Please prepare for Sat May 24th for the site to be down for while I do the update.

Also A-kon is May 30th to Jun 1st this year. I plan on being out of town for Akon from Thurs May 29th thru Mon Jun 2nd. SO I will not be updating donations during those days. Depending on how hectic the site upgrade is and packing for Akon I may or may not remember to update that week prior at all.

We are already pretty close to what we need so if we can donate early I won't need to worry about it.

I have been putting off and putting off doing the upgrade we need for the script for.... jeeze well over a year now. At first I purposely put it off because this is such a large archive I wanted to give the creators ample time to work out any bugs that might cost my authors problems with their stories or posting.

Then I really began the prep work for getting some custom skins made for the site, and got the lovely miyoungboz to make us some very beautiful artwork for the skins.

And honestly that took a really long time because I had a very specific look I had in mind which miyoungboz did a wonderful job with. However between my schedule and hers we always seems to miss each other contact wise.

Then I started looking for someone to make the skin. Which I did. I've put out a few announcements pointing to the fact that these persons would need some sort of payment for their work.

However its come to this. I really don't want to wait. We need the upgrade done because the version we have leaves the site more open to web hacking than I am comfortable with. I am going to do the upgrade the 1st weekend in MAY.

I know that is quite a ways off. But I want to give EVERYONE time to back up their stories, save their reviews. Whatever you need to do. This will me a MAJOR SITE OVERHAUL. The database will actually need to be changed, so there is a stronger than usual chance for stories, or accounts to get lost or deleted.

I encourage EVERYONE to back up their stores on their computers or other archives.

If you are interested in donating for a custom skin for the site, please let me know and I will considering contacting these people again to see what can be done between now and then.

EDIT:
Sorry I didn't mean to imply that there was an easy way to back up reviews. Right now the only option is copy and paste into a document on your computer. It is one of the reasons I wanted to give everyone very advanced notice. Certainly I will be doing this upgrade as cautiously as possible and I sincerely hope no stories or reviews are lost. I just want to make sure everyone has time to prepare for the unplanned mishaps that sometimes happen with site upgrades.

EDIT 2:
The site upgrade will not effect the monthly cost of the site. efiction is a free script. The only thing that would cost as part of the upgrade would be if we choose to get someone to make a custom skin. Please let me know if this is something people are interested in donating for.

I have been mostly checking the donation status about once a week. I Just updated to the most current status. As it gets near the end of the month I will do my best to update it every few days. Thanks to everyone that has been donating!

If anyone is wondering about the uneven dollar amounts, understand I truncate the change and give just the dollar amount. Paypal and Amazon takes a small percentage of the donations as payment for the service. Also Amazon donations are not added until I get the money in my checking account and add it into paypal. Donations are from Amazon are automatically added to my account approx every 14 days.

So the donation number always reflects the actual paypal amount since that is where the bill is drawn from.

We have had 3 donations of $5 since my last post. This is what I would like to continue seeing, without my asking. I will explain how the donations and site payment works for those that have asked me.

The paypal account I created is where the charges for the site are directly billed from. The bill comes around the 1st thru the 3rd of each month. Our monthly bill is about $55. It goes down to $50 a month if we pay 3 months in advance. $45 for 6 months in advance. And $40 for 1 year in advance. Donations received by paypal stay there until the monthly cost of the site is automatically debited from the paypal account. So if you keep it funded, even over funded the money does not go to waste because it is extra for next month. Anytime we have enough to pay in advance I do so thus saving us some money... its only happened once.

When donations are made to Amazon, every 2 weeks those donations are transferred to my checking account. When that happens I donate that same amount to the paypal account.

When the paypal account does NOT have enough it is automatically drawn from my personal checking account.

I do not want to have to post 2-3 times a month about how much more we need. Consider the fact that to keep the site up we will ALWAYS need money ... so even if this months needs are met you can STILL DONATE for next month.

The first few years this site was open I paid for every month out my own pocket. It was only $35 then and the site has grown a lot since then. Some months we go over our bandwidth limit and are charged extra, thankfully thru deals I have managed to keep our account upgraded at reasonable costs. However I can not afford to pay for the site any longer which is why I have started the donation system. I don't want to close the site. I don't want to see advertisements splattered across the site. I don't want to make people pay to join the site. I understand many users are underage or don't have credit or debit cards and can not donate using paypal or amazon. Several months back I had about 15 ppl email me for my personal address so they could send in money for the site. You know how many did? None.

So I guess I am at a loss as to what to do. I am glad the donations have picked up. But it seems like the only time the do is when I threaten with ads or the site closing. And really why should I bully you for the donations?

I have decided to not add any ads to the site. I will not ask for a one time fee for registering. Instead I will be removing the overdraft protection from paypal. If we do npt get enough donations, then simply the bill will not be paid and the site will be shut down until the bill is paid. It is that simple. I will no longer ask or beg or plead or threaten for donations. So how long the site stays up will be entirely up to everyone as members, authors, readers, and visitors, if you want to donate or not and keep the site up.

Update. We were $25 short this month on donations. That money came out of my checking account. Unfortunately my checking account didn't have the money there either so I have a rather large NSF fee on my checking account until Friday when I get paid again. I realize this is mostly my fault, I waited too long to ask for donations.

However I've said it time and time again that I am just tired of asking. There are other sites that seem to get quite a bit of donations so much so that they are months if not years ahead in payments. And I don't see monthly beggings from the admins for them. So I am going to start looking into advertising. I hate it. I hate popups and I hate ads. But my only other option is to make this a paid subscription site and I know that would never work.

So to continue making this site free.
* To make the money I have been hinting at needing just so I can get someone to do a new skin and finally get the upgrades we need.
* To fund the monthly costs of keeping this site up, because we do do almost 40,000 unique hits a month and over 35 gigs of bandwidth

Advertising will be going up. Unless I see a remarkable change in the donations you can expect to start seeing ads as soon as I can sign up and get them onto the site.

I want to apologize to those select few who donate all the time. Some almost every month. The handful that come thru and save the day with large donations so the site doesn't go offline. This is not directed at you. This site has almost 30-thousand members and 2-thousand authors. If each Author donated $1 I would be able to pay for this site in advance of several years. I don't think asking for a $1 or $5 is very much ... A one-time donation from every registered member of this site would garrentee I would never ask for donations again.

So thank you to those that donated, you donations have been very much appreciated. Those that haven't donated, ever, I can only say I'm disappointed.

This will be quick cause I am like dead tired and headed to bed.

Banners are getting too big again! I'd like to see banners stay UNDER 100 pixels in height and no more than 400 pixels in length. I have tried not to make too many restrictions on the banners because I like seeing them. but if they don't start getting a little more reasonable in size I am going to have some of the admins start removing them. I have already removed a few that were down right obnoxious in size.

The rule of thumb? You should be able to at lease SEE the listing before and afoter yours when you have a banner .... if you don't then your banner is probably too large.

Last, donations? Is paypal broken? Link not working ? Despite multiple posts this month about donations this has been our lowest donation month, not counting months when donations weren't needed. We are still about $25 short!!!! I just changed jobs and do not have the extra cash to make up this month. If we don't make the $25 by around the 3rd or 4th don't be surprized when the site is offline for a bit. I am tired of having to even ask.

A few people have emailed, and sa1boy made a comment, asking how much this site needs ... so here we are:

This site costs about $50 / a month when I pay month to month ... $40 a month when I can pay 3 months in advance ... $30 a month when 6 months are paid in advance ... Generally we are on the month to month plan.

Each month I get between $15 - $35 dollars in donations. Some months I get large donators and I use their help to help pay for short months. The rest of the time I donate the difference.

We have some great Members here that donate faithfully every month or every few months. The same people all the time. I want to take this time to thank them ever so much for keeping this site afloat. Every month we use more and more bandwidth as this site becomes more and more popular. Last month we used over 20 gigs of bandwidth, and that was a slow month. Most months are 25 or more. Over 30,000 unique visitors. That is a lot.

I have played with the idea of going to paid advertisement to help with the slack. But as long as we can meet the monthly cost I want to avod that. I hate advertisements.

So I hope that answers everyones questions about the monthly costs for the site.

Next, I am planning to go to A-Kon (www.a-kon.com)at the end of the month. Just wondering if anyont else is going to be there?

Really not much to say. Yes there are still delays. Mainly because of me. Real life has just been hectic and I can't seem to find the time to get the update I promised done. I really want to apologize for not giving everyone more of an update. Most of the site work is still on hold. The artist I found has been bogged down with school work and I have been putting in uber hours at work. So the combination has left me no time to work on making the upgrade happen.

So for all of the delays I really really apologize. Please continue to be patient with me!

I also want to thank everyone that has been donating lately. I love seeing donations when I don't have to beg for them!

I want to encourage people to continue donating. We have a few big expenses coming up once this upgrade goes through. (Donating to the artist who is refusing payment but has been working for months on the artwork. And the skinning work that will need to be done to apply the artwork to the archive. )

I am delaying the upgrade to the new version for just a bit.

I see to have finally cordinated a skinner and graphic artist to make us a new (very hot) looking skin. So I am going to give them some time to get that finished so everythink can be changed at once.

In the meantime, I am encouraging ALL AUTHORS to please make sure their stories are backed up somewhere besides here. It may be a week or more before I upgrade so it gives everyone time to ENSURE that their stories are saved... to a hard drive, cd, floppy disk, other website or archive. Please, please use this time wisely. I, of course, will back up the site before the upgrade, but is is ALWAYS wise to have your own backups.

On another note, I am paying for the artwork and new layout skin, so if anyone would like to donate a little extra (or any at all ) to help out my pockets would greatly appreciate it!

Some of you may have noticed the site has been down for approx. the last 24-36 hours. This is because of hackers exploited some security weak spots in the script and using it to flood my hosts servers with email. This has been fixed and hopefully will not be a problem any longer.

This has lead me to go ahead and upgrade to the newest version of this script earlier than I intended. I will be working on backing up the site this weekend, with the intention of starting the upgrade Sunday Evening. Cross your fingers that I don't mess it all up ~_^

New Users, when you are registering an account to read stories, please do not use the hyphen symbol in your username. For some reason, the database will let you register with the "-" symbol in your name; however, it will not recognize it when you try to log in. Please, if you must have a symbol if your name, use an underscore or "_" or even a space.

Also, everyone is greatly encouraged to donate so Angel can keep this place up and running for us all.

I really hate this. I hate that I started this site with the hopes of giving Authors and Readers a place to post their stories, and for readers to enjoy them. Free of advertisements, free of subscription costs, and free of restrictions that made authors post 'altered or edited' stories rather than the full story they intended.

Because I had a nice job at the time, I was free to offer these things with no obligation to my users to make any sort of payments or donations.

However in the year since I lost my previous job and started this new crappy one, I have continually asked you all for money. And really to me even if it is a volunteer only basis, I feel guilty for even having to ask.

Some of you are asking ... so... what? Well now I feel guilt because there are a small hand full (2-3) that are ALWAYS donating, and quite generously I might add. Anytime I say we are short one of them will come and save the day.... for everyone.

We have 16,115 members! Of those, 1,303 are authors.

I looked at all the donations from paypal for the last YEAR, and sadly there are a total of 23 individual names. The rest are members that repeatedly rise to the occassion and donate to keep this site open for everyone.

So my super-sized guilt complex has been in overdrive, its not fair that the same people continually donate. And unfortunataly I am not yet in a place where I can resume all the costs myself.

So I am laying the guilt trip on everyone. each and every person that logs in to read a story, post a story, or give a review. Send me a $1, $2, or $5 ... I don't expect everyone to send their life savings. But decide how much the site is worth to you. Sure there are lots of other sites that offer the same or similiar service, but I garentee someone is paying that bill too.

So in conclusion. We made this months payment, barely. I want to pay more months in advance. It saves us A LOT of money if we can pay 3 or 6 months in advance and it also means I can stop harping about the need for donations. So I am setting a goal! $300 .... If my math is right, that should cover us for a year, allowing for growth and added bandwidth costs. It will take us longer to save up to $300 if I have to keep making $50 monthly payments until we can pay it all at once.

So to everyone, except our generous multi-donators, please, please, please, please, donate, something, anything, if you need a postal address just email me: boysinlove at gmail dot com, and I will be glad to supply it.

I really do not want to look into ad services and membership fees to pay for the site costs.

The last couple months we have been short on our donations. I have had extra money and was able to cover the difference without a problem. However I am really tight for money this month and will NOT be able to make the difference up when the new bill comes due. I am strong encouraging everyone to make a donation so there won't be any interuption in service.

If we can I would like to get enough to pay for several months at once, as that gives us a nice discount.

I understand that sometimes the database is screwy and doesn't help much when registering an account and new password. However, when you are asking for help via email or the forums, PLEASE include your username and email address that you used to register with. This makes it MUCH easier for the admin to assist you with your problems.

Hey everyone, sorry it's been so long without a update. Let me start with donations:

Last month we did not receive enough donations and I was able to pay the remaining balance. This month it looks like we have received enough to cover this months bill. So a big thank you to everyone that has donated!!!!

Our bill is coming due on the 5th of May. For one month of service is $50, but if we can get atleast $120 like last time, we can pay 3 months in advance and save about $30 bucks (assuming we don't go over our bandwidth limit - which we haven't yet!)


So PLEASE, PLEASE start making donations early so we don't have to worry about an interuption in service. Our account is billed directly to our paypal account so that is our preferred method of donations. However we can easily transfer funds from the amazon account if you prefer that. While it is great that we have so many new stories added all the time, while browsing through the main categories of Books (etc), I see many fics that belong to categories that have yet to be added to the site.

Please, we ask you, do not do this. If you have a category that you would like to add, request it either through the email address categories@foreverfandom.net or the Forums. All you have to do to get it added is to include a character list. It's really not that hard.

There are far too many stories that clog up the ones that are posted under ligitimate categories. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I point out that this is in it's testing phase, so please be patient if you notice any problems. I have tested it myself and found none. But bringing something live always seems to cause problems. The link can be found in the welcome message above... go ahead and take a look!

We have asked, we have emailed, we have made announcements. Unfortunately some of you are not responding to our pleas.

Banners are a PROBLEM!!!

I mean it!

Here is the rule: Banners should not be so tall that when users are browsing stories yours is the only one viewable on the page!

In other words, if we can't see atleast one or two stories listed before and after yours, then your banner and/or description is too long!

As of now, admins are going to be sending out warnings! Once you have been warned 3 times the banners will be deleted by the admins. If you repost them, you may have your story and/or account deleted as well.

I have tried to be nice, I don't want to be a mean, nasty Admin. But it is unfair to other authors that are being dwarfed by these oversized banners!

You are welcome to put as many, or as large as you want banners on your USER profile. But story summeries should be kept at a modest height.

This also goes for exceptionally long story descriptions. Unlike other sites, we do not limit this. We want you to give your story the best description you can. But please be reasonable!

And some of you are guilty of supersized banners AND long descriptions. *glares* You know who you are!

Please do not make me delete these beautiful works of art. I like them! I like seeing them! Get it under control.

You are always welcome to contact any of our admins to confirm if your banner is too large.

I have a few announcements to make!

First I would like to give a huge shout out and Thank You to two very generous donors this month that managed to give us more than enough for this month and next.

Second announcement has to do with the first. I used $10 of the extra money to register a new domain that will be used for an orignal fiction archive. I am going to use my own personal website to host it so no additional webhosting charges will apply. Atleast, for the time being! I have been saying I would do this for awhile now, and finally I am able to do it! Once I have everything up and running I will announce the new site here! (Right now I am mainly waiting on someone with artistic talent to help me with design --- so if you know anyone tell them to email me!)

Lastly, with the remaining funds I have almost enough to pay for 3 months in advance(with this month already covered), which would save us $9 a month. So if we can collect $20 I can go ahead and pay for 3 months!!!

I have considered the idea of getting a PO Box to start accepting Snail Mail DOnations, however since this option costs money I do not want to add to our costs without knowing if this is something more people would be willing to use to help with donations?

We've understandingly had a shortage of donations since the holidays ... however it looks like our bill is coming due tomarrow, Feb 8th and our paypal account does not have enough to cover the charges. There is a very high chance that the account will be suspended until monday, Feb 13th since this will be after I am paid and can make a payment.

However we are only about 40 short, if anyone or several anyones can make a donation of that amount to our paypal account, there should be no interruption of service.

Donations through Amazon our also appreciated since I can transfer them to paypal directly.

If the site does go down, please don't panic I will make a payment on monday and the site will be back up!

In the last 2 weeks, our site has unfortunately been hacked twice, resulting in many people being spammed with a virus when trying to visit our site. I have worked hard along with the team that developed this script to add new securities to prevent this.

However I missed some things and we were yet again attacked. At this time I very much hope I have gotten this all cleaned up. I want to apologize to all our users for this serious problem. I hope everyone knows to invest in Anti-Virus, Anti-spam, and Anti-popup software. If not, your being told now!

Many users have emailed, to let us know that this problem was the last straw for them, and for those users I am sad to see go. I hope everyone else will continue to be patient while we work thru these last few problems.

I check the Message Boards everyday (or something like that) and we have some great admins who have been doing a great job of helping users there. I know we do have a few lingering kinks in to work on and I am doing all I can to get these fixed. Some unfortunately are being kicked back to the development team so that usually causes fixes to take longer.

Hmm ... that's all I can think of for updates ...

Don't forget to donate! I realize it's the Holiday's and everyone is broke, but so are we! Good news is Mako did find a seasonal job and that should help our finances a bit. Bad news is we're still broke and our puppie dogs are starving. It costs roughly $40-$50 a month to run this site and keep up with all our bandwidth traffic. And right now our donations for the month are at $18 ... So even if you can only donate $1 or $5 just a few people can help us catch up for the month.

A few people have asked for an address to send money to, we do not have a PO Box, but you can contact ourAdmin Email for information on how to Snail Mail us money as well. Altho we still prefer and recommend Paypal or Amazon.com

Okay ... realyl I think that's all ... *thinks* ... yeah, thats it!

In the days following our upgrade Mako and I have been going through an massive amount of email. It's okay, we did expect it. We also understand there have been a lot of unexpected problems with the upgrade, and some users are having a lot of difficulty viewing stories. And for this we are very sorry and we really are working as hard as we can to get everything fixed.

But I have to say i am really disapointed in some of the emails we have gotten. Some users have written us some very rude, mean, and frankly quite demanding emails telling us what a horrible thing we have done.

Mako and I run this site primarily by ourselves. We recently have added some admins to help with the message boards, but the mass of this site is run just by the two of us. I personally have been paying for it out of my own pocket since it's opening a couple years ago. Only very recently have we asked for donations while Mako continues to look for a job.

Rude emails will get you no where. I run this site because I love fanfiction. I want to readers to be able to read and authors to be able to post their stories. But I don't feel I should have to deal with anymore rude emails. If you do not like the way we run this site, go use fanfiction.net, I understand they delete stories without warning or reason. Enjoy!

Okay many of you are asking about age consent and trouble viewing stories.

#1 Make sure you have LOGGED IN to your account, selected 'Yes' for the age verification and then hit 'Submit' I can't tell you how many people are forgetting to hit submit.

#2 Make sure you are NOT USING the old 'black' skin. You MUST use one of the new skins. I am working on a new original skin for the site like before but that may take some time.

#3 We do have a few small lines of Java, make sure your browser is enabled to allow Java.

#4 If you have done all these things and the stories still will not show, try refreshing your page, then closing and reopening your browser. This has worked for several people.

#5 If after trying ALL these things, you are still not able to view stories. Please got to our Message Boards and post your problem. Be sure to include your account/author name and what skin you are using.

Thank you for your patience while we work out these problems.

You MUST now be logged in to view R and NC17 stories. Once logged in, you most go to 'Edit Personal Info' and look for this statement:

"I am of the age of consent in my locale to view materials with adult content. I realize that by agreeing, the normal warnings for stories with adult content will be by-passed" Yes / No

You MUST select 'yes' to view age restricted material.

If you have done this, and saved the new personal information, and you still can not see the age restricted stories, please let us know on the Message Board so we can find out what is happening.

NEW Please make sure you are not using the 'black' skin any longer as it does not work with the upgraded database. We WILL be creating a new original skin as soon as I have all the other bugs worked out. So far it seems the Marauders skin works best, but please make sure you do NOT use the 'black' skin. Yes the update is done.   There are several new features and several things fixed that we have all been waiting on.

Some new features the people will notice almost immediately is access to age restricted stories.  We now require you to be registed, and have selected the age verification found in your user profile to read adult material.  It's not gone, we're not restricting the posting of it.  We are only trying to ensure that our behinds are covered.  

Obviously you will notice our old skin is gone, and there are some default skins availible with the new upgrade.  Please expect these to change as I figure out how to do so.   Other things will probably change as I figure out how to do so.  If you have suggections or comments please feel free to visit our message board at:  http://foreverfandom.net/boards/

It's finally here! An update to the archive script with tons of nice goodies, and fixes for alot of the problems I haven't been able to fix! This is great news!



Here's the deal though, I WILL backup the database! A failsafe should anything go wrong! However I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone to make sure they have backups of their stories on their computers, or at other archives. This is a major upgrade to our database and there is no telling what might go wrong. So *PLEASE* backup your stories.



This upgrade will be started on November 18th (Friday) at around 11pm(US - Central Timezone). Please be aware that the site will not be availible during the upgrade. It should only take an hour or so to upgrade if nothing goes wrong.... if it does go wrong ... well ... I'm gonna run and hide. ^__^;;;



Please do not forget to donate, we have not gotten many donations and unfortunately are still a bit short for this months payment, just 5 or 10 dollars should be enough. The donation link is to the right --->

I do! For years I have been able to support this site without asking for help. It kills me to know that I can no longer provide this service without asking for donations!



However, the ugliness of it is, I work a crap job for little pay. And this site takes a hunk a money every month to keep up. Many of you have written in felling bad you can only donate $1 or $5 when really all of those little amounts add up and are very helpful. Last month we were able to pay the domain charges as well as the hosting charges with everyones contributions. Unfortunately as bills are want to do, ours is about to rear its ugly head again.



I had really hoped to have saved a little this month and not have to resort to asking for help yet again. Unfortunately I seem to be scrapping the bottom of my wallet yet again... so I would like to kindly ask for your donations yet again so we can keep this site up a little longer.



I want to thank everyone that has made a donation so far no matter how small. I promise every one of you has made the difference in this site staying open!

Where I was able to put up a temporary news/donate page up. Thanks to some swift members we are back on. But only for a short bit. My paycheck has been delayed because we are close to Rita, once I get it we will be safe again for sure. But I really want to urge member to donate what they can. It doesn't seem like much but even $5 and $10 dollars is a very big help to us.
